Ok..so I don't understand my 13 year old (he will be 14 Sept 6th). You offer to buy a summer pass to the waterpark & he isn't sure. The youth from church are going to the lake for a day & he doesn't want to go! He is not afraid of water at all; he loves to go swimming.
When I was his age I would have killed for a couple of things...1). A waterpark like the one he has to go & for my parents to offer to buy me a summer pass; we had to go to the city pool (which wasn't that bad..but a waterpark vs city pool) 2). A lake trip in 106* who wouldn't want to go! I was lucky to go to the lake/river when I was his age.
He says he wants to just "hang" with his friends that aren't going to the lake trip. I am forcing him to go..not sure if it's the right thing..but he is going. I know when he comes back he will say he had a BLAST.
